The Hatboro Area YMCA Fall Competitive Swim Clinic is open to all swimmers interested in pre-season conditioning as well as focusing on stroke technique.

A YMCA Program Membership is required for swimmers that do not plan on continuing with HATY Swimming as it heads into the winter season.

YMCA Program Membership Fee: $50.00/Year

A Full Privilege Membership is required of all Winter Swim Team members.

The coaching staff will determine clinic groups during the first week of swim clinic.

Clinic Overview

The swim clinic group structure enables us to accommodate & work with swimmers of varying skill levels. In addition to normal aerobic & anaerobic based training, all levels will devote a large amount of time to starts & turns as well as correct stroke technique. The higher levels will emphasize yardage with some time devoted to nutrition, “all system training”, Total Immersion & taper philosophy.  In addition, we will hopefully be having some dry land exercises or games allowing the kids the opportunity to interact with each other outside the confines of the swimming pool.

Weight Training

Full Privilege members aged 13 years – 16 years may use the fitness center unsupervised after completing a documented teen fitness orientation with a YMCA wellness coach.

Full Privilege members aged 10 years – 12 years may use the fitness center accompanied by a supervising adult (18 years or older) after completing a documented teen fitness orientation with a YMCA wellness coach. The supervising adult must be present the entire time.

 Please Note:

It is extremely important for any swimmer contemplating swimming for the Hatboro Area YMCA, that they do not compete for any other team as of September 01, 2009.

This includes another USA Swimming Team  (for questions about this please contact Pat Ryan)

Exception:

High School Swimmers may continue representing their respective high schools.

If currently registered with another USA Team you will need to submit an "Athlete Transfer Form" changing your affiliation to either "Unattached" or to  "HATY Swimming".

For more information, please contact Pat Ryan at 215-672-8514 or at pmr001@aol.com
