Please Note:

It is extremely important for any swimmer contemplating swimming for the Hatboro Area YMCA, that they do not compete for any other team after September 01, 2006.
This includes another USA Swimming Team (Please direct all questions about this to Pat Ryan)
If currently registered with another USA Team you will need to submit an "Athlete Transfer Form" changing your affiliation to either "Unattached" or to "HATY Swimming".
High School Swimmers may continue representing their respective high schools.

Practice Groups and Schedule:
Gold: $215.00 / Season
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 6:00 - 7:30 PM Wednesday 5:30 - 7:00 PM
The Gold group is geared towards the year round swimmer who is dedicated to the sport of competitive swimming. This group has produced State Champions and Nationally ranked swimmers. Year round conditioning with 4000 plus yards per practice focusing on technique as well as Energy System. Participants will also be educated on Training Principles.
Minimum Age for consideration: 14 years old as of 12/01/2006
Red A: $215.00 / Season
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 6:00 - 7:30 PM Wednesday 5:30 - 7:00 PM
The Red A group is geared towards the year round swimmer who is dedicated to the sport of competitive swimming. This group has produced District and State qualifying swimmers. Year round conditioning with 3000 plus yards per practice focusing on technique as well as Energy System. Participants will also be educated on Training Principles.
Minimum Age for consideration: 11 years old as of 12/01/2006
Red B: $215.00 / Season
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 6:00 - 7:30 PM Wednesday 5:30 - 7:00 PM
The Red B group is geared towards the year round swimmer who is dedicated to the sport of competitive swimming. This group has produced District qualifying swimmers. Year round conditioning with 2500 plus yards per practice focusing on technique as well as Energy System. Participants will also be educated on Training Principles.
Minimum Age for consideration: 11 years old as of 12/01/2006
White A: $205.00 / Season
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 5:00 - 6:30 PM – Wednesday 5:00 – 6:15 PM
The White A group is geared towards the year round swimmer who is looking for a challenging and fun experience. This group must be proficient in all for strokes and must have swum the Individual Medley in competition. Daily yardage ranges between 1000 to 2500 plus yards per practice focusing perfecting stroke technique, Starts and Turns – enabling the swimmer to compete the District and possibly State level.
White B: $205.00 / Season
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 5:00 - 6:30 PM – Wednesday 5:00 – 6:15 PM
The White B group is geared towards the swimmer who is new or to the seasoned swimmer that is not quite ready for the challenges of the White A group. Mastery of all four strokes is the primary focus of this group. Swimmers should be able to demonstrate technically correct Freestyle and Backstroke strokes. They must also have the ability to dive off the side of the pool and understand the concept of streamlining. Flip turns and racing starts will be taught. Butterfly and Breaststroke technique corrections will be emphasized. Daily yardage will be approximately 1000 yards per practice.
Minimum Age for consideration: 09 years old as of 12/01/2006
Blue A: $195.00 / Season
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 - 7:00 PM
The Blue A group is geared towards swimmers able to demonstrate technically correct Freestyle and Backstroke strokes. They must also have the ability to dive off the side of the pool. Swimmers will be taught Breaststroke and Butterfly as well as correct racing starts and turning technique. Daily yardage will be approximately 500 yards per practice
Blue B: $195.00 / Season
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 - 7:00 PM
The Blue B group is geared towards new swimmers. Emphasis will be on the Freestyle and Backstroke techniques. The YMCA core values will be introduced. Daily yardage will be approximately 300-400 yards per practice
